Canada Has Had Enough Of Tesla
Briefly

In response to growing resentment regarding Elon Musk's actions related to U.S. President Trump, Canada has decided to exclude Tesla products from key incentive programs. Notable measures include British Columbia's removal of Tesla EV chargers and energy storage products from its rebate program, which Premier David Eby supported due to taxpayer concerns. Additionally, Toronto is barring Tesla vehicles from receiving financial incentives for taxis and ride-sharing. These actions reflect a broader dissatisfaction among Canadians with Musk's perceived attitudes and the geopolitical climate involving the U.S.
It's just for Tesla and it's because of Elon Musk, said David Eby, British Columbia's Premier, after BC Hydro decided to exclude Tesla products from its electric vehicle charger incentive program.
If taxpayers knew thousands of dollars were going to Musk's company thanks to the subsidy program, they'd want to throw up, said Premier David Eby.
I thought Tesla products shouldn't be made available on a public subsidy program right now, said Energy Minister Adrian Dix.
As of March 1, Tesla EVs are no longer eligible for incentives and that the measure will be reconsidered, stated Toronto's mayor Olivia Chow.
