As the Toronto Blue Jays prepare for their season opener against the Baltimore Orioles, the team has introduced novel concession items, including cotton candy fries and crunchy pickle hot dogs. Executive chef Matthew Munro emphasized that these additions aim to provide fun for fans. Following a lackluster 2024 season, there is significant pressure to boost attendance. The season promises promotional nights and giveaways, including a prized jersey for the first 15,000 attendees on City Connect nights, and the establishment of Club 328 for season ticket holders featuring gourmet barbecue offerings.
Rogers Centre's executive chef Matthew Munro said the new foods will be: "A little fun for everybody."
I think people are going to line up pretty far for that one," said Jess Wood, the club's director of promotions.
Season ticket holders will get access to the new Club 328, located on the field level, situated beneath the visiting team's bullpen.
The Jays rolled out their black City Connect uniforms for the first time last season.
