Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment chair Larry Tanenbaum is close to selling a share of his MLSE holdings to OMERS, a pension plan for 540,000 Ontario municipal employees, at an enterprise value of more than $8 billion (U.S.), according to a report from Sportico.Tanenbaum, 78, owns 25 per cent of MLSE, with Rogers Communications and Bell Canada owning the other 75 per cent and holding the right of first refusal to purchase any shares in the company, Sportico reports.
