Activision is introducing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) skins in Call of Duty's Season 2 Reloaded update, requiring players to spend up to $90 for full access. Each turtle costs $20, adding to $80 for all four characters, plus an additional $10 for a premium battle pass for further cosmetics. This pricing has drawn criticism, especially as the TMNT were bundled in Fortnite for a much lower price earlier in December 2023. The strategy reflects Activision's awareness of willing consumers despite high costs.
What makes this even worse for some players is that the TMNT heroes were available in Fortnite in December 2023, and they came in a bundle that cost 3,400 V-Bucks.
And like so many other things in gaming, the prices aren't cheap... $80 for all four TMNT characters is wild.
But wait, it gets worse! If you want a new Splinter skin and other cool cosmetics featured in the TMNT battle pass, you have to pay $10 to access the premium pass.
Still, $80 for all four TMNT characters is wild. But what is wilder is that Activision is charging this much because it knows people will pay.
