Andrey Koreshkov is entering the PFL World Tournament at welterweight, driven by the desire for a title, career resurgence, and a $500,000 prize. With a long tenure in Bellator behind him, he views this tournament as a pivotal new chapter. Koreshkov aims to join other Russian fighters who have won the PFL championship, citing the strength of Russian fighters in MMA as added motivation. He faces Jason Jackson in the tournament's opening round, marking a significant moment in his quest for success in this new arena.
Of course having a new belt around my waist is great motivation, but also I would like to add that I do not view my career to be finished.
I consider fighters who come out of Russia to be one of the strongest if not the strongest in MMA, in the sport of MMA.
It's a win and move on grand prix, no more playoffs or points, and that’s the format that adds pressure but also excitement.
I decided to continue my career at PFL rather than fight for the Bellator title.
