A handful of Maple Leafs players are boosting their stock at Worlds

Tavares extended his production with two assists in Canada’s 6-0 win over Italy. Joseph Woll struggled in the USA’s opener, stopping 17 of 20 shots in a 3-1 loss to Switzerland. The USA may need Woll to perform consistently to contend for gold, while Canada and Sweden continue preliminary-round play against Denmark and the USA faces Great Britain next.
