The TTC announced the restoration of streetcar services at King Street W. and Spadina Avenue following repairs to overhead wires damaged by a garbage truck.
"I want to thank everyone for their tireless efforts to complete this work quickly and safely. I also want to thank our customers for their patience during the closure," TTC CEO Greg Percy stated.
The intersection faced disruption when a garbage truck's raised bin downed several overhead wires, leading to the prompt closure of the area for repairs.
The inspection process before repairs involved evaluating the damage to multiple cables and connectors supported by numerous poles crucial to the intersection's functionality.
