Police ID teen boy killed in Scarborough Tim Hortons shooting | CBC News
"Toronto police have identified the teenage boy killed in a Scarborough Tim Hortons shooting Thursday. Kian Sam, 16, died in hospital after he was shot inside the restaurant located in the area of Lawrence Avenue E. and Bellamy Road N. Toronto police were called to the scene around 4:10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Sam suffering from gunshot wounds, the Toronto Police Service said in a news release Friday."
"Speaking to reporters Thursday evening, Insp. Errol Watson said there were others inside the Tim Hortons at the time of the incident, but no one else suffered any injuries. Watson said police do not have any suspect information. He could not say Thursday how many suspects there might be. Watson added police are continuing to interview witnesses. In a social media post Thursday, police said their homicide unit has taken over the investigation. Anyone with information is being urged to contact investigators."
Toronto police identified the 16-year-old victim as Kian Sam, who died in hospital after being shot inside a Tim Hortons near Lawrence Avenue E. and Bellamy Road N.
