
"A 30-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of a man in East Gwillimbury, Ont. over the weekend, police say. York Regional Police identified the victim in a news release as Kurl Burry, 57, of Bowmanville, Ont. Police were called at about 11:30 p.m. Friday about an alleged assault at a home on Queensville Side Road E., east of Yonge Street."
"That's where they found Burry suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say the accused was arrested at the scene. In addition to the second-degree murder charge, he has also been charged with assault involving choking and two counts of breach of probation, police said in the release. Police are asking to speak with any witnesses and anyone with security video of the area."
