Peel Regional Police have arrested a 26-year-old man from Mississauga in connection with human trafficking and prostitution-related offences following a victim's report in June. The suspect allegedly exploited a female adult in the sex trade.
The investigation revealed that the accused not only recruited the victim but also took control over significant aspects of her life, thereby benefiting financially from her exploitation.
Authorities are concerned that there may be more victims involved. Investigators are calling on the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
