Mississauga Fire Service Platoon Chief Derrick Wilson indicated that crews will likely remain on scene for several hours into the evening to control the situation.
Despite the significant fire, Toronto Pearson Airport confirmed that their operations have not been affected, with flights continuing to depart and arrive without disruption.
Peel Regional Police announced that Drew Road is closed to traffic from Tranmere Drive to Bramlea Road as firefighters work to battle the fire.
