Victoria Mboko, 19 and from Toronto, lost in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to Mirra Andreeva in the Adelaide International final. Mirra Andreeva claimed her first title of the year with the straight-sets victory. Mboko is scheduled to make her Australian Open debut on Sunday night following a breakout 2025 WTA Tour season. Mboko won the National Bank Open in Montreal and earned the WTA Newcomer of the Year award. Her ranking rose dramatically from No. 333 at the season start to No. 18 by the end.
