Sally Armstrong's Grinch-themed doormat was taken right from her doorstep, which she had hesitated to put out due to fears of theft but finally decided to enjoy.
In response to her doormat being stolen, Armstrong humorously commented on the irony, saying, "It's funny, the Grinch stole Christmas, and these two Grinches stole our doormat."
York Regional Police said that thefts of packages and items from homes has become a prevalent issue in the Greater Toronto Area.
Despite the theft, Armstrong felt a sense of resignation about the incident, where she expressed that her family had faced this issue before with porch pirates.
