"First of all, the inclusion of infielder Juan Sanchez certainly stood out, especially with his #7 rank. With MLB Pipeline, Sanchez actually finds himself down in the #18 spot behind the likes of Micah Bucknam and Fernando Perez. On top of that, the young 18-year-old prospect just completed his first year with the organization playing in the Rookie Dominican Summer League, so his development is still at the raw stage."
"But with the high ranking with BA, it speaks volumes of his potential and his ceiling going forward in the Blue Jays system. Sanchez gave a glimpse of that during his 2025 campaign when he batted a strong .341 with a 1.004 OPS, along with 47 runs scored, 16 doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 40 RBIs in just 56 games of action. Sanchez will likely start in Single-A next season as he looks to build on his impressive start to his professional baseball career."
Baseball America placed 18-year-old infielder Juan Sanchez at #7 on the Blue Jays top-10 prospects list despite other outlets ranking him much lower. Sanchez completed his first year in the Rookie Dominican Summer League and produced a .341 average with a 1.004 OPS, 47 runs, 16 doubles, four triples, eight homers and 40 RBIs in 56 games. That performance underpins his perceived ceiling and a likely Single-A assignment next season. Notable omissions from the list included Yohendrick Pinango and Victor Arias, both of whom held top-10 positions in MLB Pipeline and posted strong 2025 minor-league seasons.
