After a subpar 2024 (.253/.319/.359, .677 OPS, 103 games), he improved bat speed and contact, lifting his hard-hit rate from 40.9% to 50.8% and his barrel rate from 6.7% to 10.1%. He ranked in the 98th percentile in pitch framing and the 100th percentile in blocks above average. In the postseason he hit .254/.349/.493 with a .842 OPS and five homers in 15 games, providing timely RBIs and controlling the running game.
