7 arrested in connection with deadly 2024 Mississauga home invasion: Peel police | CBC News
"More than a year after a deadly home invasion in Mississauga, Peel police say seven people have been arrested, and three have been charged with murder. The arrests are the result of a "complex and lengthy" homicide investigation into the death of Ruo Zhou Wei, 55, police said in a news release Monday. Wei was shot inside his home near Central Parkway W. and Confederation Parkway just before 4 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2024. He later died in hospital."
"Police allege four masked people had entered the home and confronted the occupants, including Wei, demanding money and valuables. Following the shooting, police say the suspects fled the scene in a Volkswagen Atlas. A months-long investigation that included several warrants, extensive canvassing and forensic analysis resulted in the arrests and the seizure of a firearm, police say. Three of the accused, all between the ages of 21 and 25, have been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder using a firearm."
