2 charged after Richmond Hill fire that killed 11-year-old girl, woman | CBC News
"Two people are facing murder and arson charges in relation to a Richmond Hill house fire that killed an 11-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman, according to police. Camille Hall Camille Netricia Hall, 42, and Smart George Idemudia Junior Obanor, 30, are charged with two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder, York Regional Police announced on Thursday."
"The two accused, both from Toronto, are also facing charges of arson with disregard for human life and arson causing damage to property. The early-September fire happened near Skywood Drive and Rollinghill Road just before 3 a.m. Five people were home at the time and all were taken to the hospital in critical condition by EMS, according to police."
"The next day, an 11-year-old girl died from her injuries and 24-year old, Helya Bahari-Kashani, also died on Sept. 3. Police have said all of the victims lived in the home and are members of the same family. Following the event York Regional Police said they were investigating the fire as arson and the deaths as homicides. As on Thursday, police say the investigation is still ongoing."
