Why Did the Emmys Snub Diego Luna for 'Andor'?
Briefly

The nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards revealed a significant oversight, as none of the lead actors from the Star Wars series Andor received nominations in major acting categories. Despite the series receiving nominations for Directing, Writing, and Best Drama Series, the absence of recognition for actors like Diego Luna and Adria Arjona was glaring. Many viewers and critics believe that the Emmy voters may have overlooked the actors' performances due to Andor's connection to the Star Wars franchise. Diego Luna's portrayal of a reluctant revolutionary was especially noted as a highlight of the series, underlining the talent of the cast.
The absence of recognition for any of Andor's lead performers is a war crime of galactic proportions. None of Andor's stars are nominated in any of the major acting categories.
Andor did receive recognition including nominations in Directing for a Drama Series, Writing for a Drama Series, and Best Drama Series. Only Forest Whitaker received a nod for Drama Guest Actor.
Andor's stars were collectively the best thing in it and their performances were strong enough to carry the series through its lackluster stretches.
Most infuriating is the snub for Diego Luna, who rebuilt his character into a reluctant revolutionary whose search for his sister morphs him into an antifascist guerilla.
