Alien: Earth is set in 2120 on a privatized planet governed by competing corporations, featuring Prodigy Corporation's metropolis and its remote island headquarters, Neverland. Scenes were shot in Thailand, with Bangkok standing in for Prodigy City and its lush, steamy urban sprawl providing visual contrast to futuristic elements. Production designer Andy Nicholson moved to Thailand for roughly a year to scout locations and determine which existing environments could plausibly exist in the next century. The series integrates tropical landscapes and a future beset by climate change, using Thailand's unique urban patina and non-colonial architecture to craft a singular visual identity.
