Jay Blades, a presenter known for his work on BBC's The Repair Shop, has been charged with two counts of rape. He is scheduled to appear in court on 13 August 2025. Blades rose to fame after appearing on The Repair Shop in 2017, where he helped restore treasured family heirlooms. Originally from Hackney, he was discovered by producers after a film about his charity, Out of the Dark. He received an MBE in 2021 and stepped back from presenting the show in 2024.
