Taylor Sheridan Leaving Paramount for NBCUniversal

Taylor Sheridan Leaving Paramount for NBCUniversal
"Taylor Sheridan, arguably the biggest creative force in television, is leaving his longtime home at Paramount after striking a massive deal with NBCUniversal. Over the past decade, no one in television has racked up more hits than Sheridan. The mastermind behind Yellowstone and its spin-offs 1883 and 1923, as well as Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman, Sheridan has built an empire - and with the exception of Yellowstone, all of his series live on Paramount+."
"But in the years to come, Sheridan will be making content exclusively for NBCUniversal. According to Puck News, he's finalized a new deal that covers both film and television projects: the film agreement spans eight years beginning in March 2026, while the television pact kicks off in 2028 and runs for five years. All of Sheridan's aforementioned projects will remain at Paramount even after he's gone; the deal covers only new content he produces going forward."
Taylor Sheridan is leaving Paramount to produce new content exclusively for NBCUniversal. Sheridan created Yellowstone and its spin-offs 1883 and 1923, and developed Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman, with most series currently on Paramount+. The new arrangements include an eight-year film agreement beginning March 2026 and a five-year television pact starting in 2028. Existing Sheridan projects will remain at Paramount. Paramount retains the intellectual property rights to Yellowstone and therefore controls any future Yellowstone spin-offs rather than Sheridan.
