Robin Windsor, a former Strictly Come Dancing professional who appeared on the show from 2010 to 2013, died in February 2024 at age 44. He was found dead in a hotel room in Shepherd's Bush, west London. A coroner's court jury concluded that he took his own life and that an accumulation of factors related to depression contributed. The jury cited childhood trauma, vulnerability to rejection emotionally and professionally, loneliness, lack of emotional maturity, mounting debts, inconsistent mental-health care and recurring heartache. Friends and co-stars said being dropped from Strictly, financial struggles and relationship problems worsened his mental health. The coroner noted the joy he brought to many and described that as a wonderful legacy.
