Stars discuss Hulu's new docu-series 'Murdaugh: Death in the Family' at NYC premiere
"I wanted to honor all of these women, you know, women who deal with abuse, most likely at the hands of their intimate partner, you know, any kind of violence. So I wanted to honor that,"
"I understood how this man could pull the wool over so many people's eyes. You look back in hindsight and everyone goes oh he was bad but you know this community, not just the family, not just Maggie and Paul, but this community were betrayed,"
"The first three episodes of 'Murdaugh: Death in the Family' drop on Hulu on Wednesday."
The New York City premiere of 'Murdaugh: Death in the Family' took place at Disney headquarters in Lower Manhattan, with cast and creatives walking the green carpet. The Hulu docu-series dramatizes the shocking true story of a prominent attorney who became a convicted killer. Jason Clark portrays Alex Murdaugh and Patricia Arquette portrays his wife, Maggie. Arquette said she wanted to honor women who deal with abuse, particularly intimate-partner violence. Clark described how Murdaugh could deceive many people and betray an entire community. The first three episodes become available on Hulu on Wednesday. Disney is the parent company of Hulu.
