Oliver Stark hinted that fans' hopes for more Buddie screen time and possible romantic development may be realized in season nine of 9-1-1. Stark plays Evan 'Buck' Buckley and the series pairs him with Ryan Guzman's Eddie, creating the Buddie dynamic. Stark toured the 9-1-1 Nashville set with cast members including Chris O'Donnell, LeAnn Rimes, Michael Provost, Hailey Kilgore and Juani Feliz. Kilgore and Feliz described their characters as besties who have their own field language and shorthand. Stark compared that trust and shorthand to Buddie's relationship and said he is excited to see it continue. Fans have long hoped for a romantic link, and Stark has previously described some interactions as "super gay." Stark also marked Bisexual Day of Visibility on Instagram.
