Lady Gaga released "The Dead Dance," a disco-influenced dark-pop single featured in the second half of Wednesday Season 2, where she guest stars as Rosaline Rotwood. The song was co-written and produced with Andrew Watt and Cirkut. A music video directed by Tim Burton marks his first music video since 2012. The video features creepy dolls, including a doll version of Gaga that comes to life, and shifts from black and white to color toward the final third. Gaga previewed the single on Instagram and made a surprise appearance at a New York City "Graveyard Gala" with coffin listening booths. Right from the opening, the video has creepy dolls galore. One such creepy doll is Gaga herself, who comes to life and begins spasming until the first chorus, where she's joined by backup dancers.

With cast members Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday in attendance, the event featured coffin listening booths that allowed attendees to hear a preview snippet of "The Dead Dance."
