""My dad was a very dark, sarcastic type of guy and he loved the darker shows that I did. I haven't done one in 18 or 19 years, since before my kids were born," Keith said. "Before he passed he said, 'I want you to bring me on tour.' I said, 'What do you mean bring me on tour? You know where you're at? You're in a hospice, Dad.'""
""He was like, 'Yeah, but when I die bring me on tour, bring the ashes on tour and do a séance and try and contact me'. "Now he knew I don't believe in psychics and that I don't believe in contacting the dead. I don't believe that anybody can contact the dead and I will make that clear in the show, but then we're going to do it anyway.""
Keith Barry will have his father Ken's ashes on stage at every tour performance and will attempt a séance-style segment to honor his father's dying wish. Ken Barry died aged 76 on January 25 after a battle with lung cancer and had co-founded Tipperary Crystal and Smart Telecom, appearing on The Late Late Show and judging the Rose of Tralee. Ken was described as dark, sarcastic, and a nonbeliever who rejected religion even while ill. Ken requested to be "brought on tour" to showcase his personality, and Keith will make clear his own skepticism while performing the ritual.
