There's no way to say for sure what factors led to Disney ending Kimmel's suspension on Monday (with the host now returning for his Tuesday evening show)."

Given the number of people already publicly canceling their Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions to protest Kimmel being taken off the air, it's safe to say that Disney would have experienced some exceptional blowback by making this announcement without resolving the Kimmel situation first."
