"Kojima and series director Takayuki Sano announced the series at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The working title of the show is Death Stranding Isolations, which will utilize traditional hand-drawn 2D animation. The animation will be provided by E&H production, and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 character designer Ilya Kuvshinov created the concept art for Isolations. The art includes a glimpse of the two leading characters."
Death Stranding Isolations is a hand-drawn 2D anime series scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2027. Animation will be provided by E&H production and concept art was created by Ilya Kuvshinov. The series stands alone from the game while naming Sam Bridges and introducing new characters: an old man seeking salvation outside Bridges' connection, a female warrior promoting constant fighting, a boy with a grudge against Bridges, and a girl embracing loneliness. Kojima and director Takayuki Sano announced the project at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. A separate Death Stranding anime film, Death Stranding: Mosquito, is also in development.
