Chris Hansen has cryptic response to Robert Pattinson playing him in new movie
Primetime, an A24 drama arriving in theaters this September, traces the origins of Dateline’s investigative program that ran from 2004 to 2007. The story follows Hansen’s operations targeting adult men who arrive at a sting house to have sex with minors. The cast includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, and Bokeem Woodbine, and it is Lance Oppenheim’s narrative feature debut. The first trailer features Pattinson’s transformed voice as Hansen, including a voice-over about accountability and joining television history. On News Nation, Hansen said he had heard something was in the works, was reached out to that week, and was asked not to talk about it much, adding that Pattinson’s impression sounded like him “little bit.”
"“What? There's a movie trailer?” he exclaimed, feigning shock. “What will they think of next?”"
