BigLaw associate wins 'Big Brother,' attributes victory to hiding profession and channeling Elle Woods
"I knew coming into this game, I was going to have to hide my true identity in order to eliminate the target from my back, and I did so,"
"Not only did you guys think that you were emotionally manipulating me and controlling me, I let you think that,"
"Being an attorney, you have to predict what the other person's arguments are going to be and already have a strategy and a counterargument to whatever their argument is going be,"
A BigLaw associate at A&O Shearman won the latest season of Big Brother. She concealed her legal profession and posed as a social media marketing manager to remove suspicion and eliminate targets. She credited legal training for shaping her final speech and for anticipating opponents' arguments, crafting strategies and counterarguments. She intentionally allowed others to believe they could manipulate her while maintaining control, likening her approach to Elle Woods. She practiced the final speech for days. She plans to allocate a substantial portion of the $750,000 prize to her parents and is considering purchasing a home.
