Amy Schumer and chef Chris Fischer have decided to end their marriage after seven years. They expressed love for each other and commitment to focus on raising their son while requesting privacy. The couple married in February 2018 and welcomed their son in May 2019. They collaborated on the Food Network show Amy Schumer Learns to Cook and the HBO miniseries Expecting Amy that documented a difficult pregnancy. Schumer drew on her marriage for the Hulu dramedy Life & Beth. Schumer has a background in film and stand-up and has advocated for endometriosis awareness after surgery. Fischer won a 2016 James Beard Foundation book award for The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook.
