Briefly

Amazon will produce a live-action Tomb Raider series starring Sophie Turner as Lara Croft. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will serve as creator, writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. Filming is scheduled to begin in January 2026. Waller-Bridge's involvement had been announced previously. The series will join other Amazon video game adaptations, including the second season of Fallout debuting in December, a God of War series in development with Ronald D. Moore, and a second season of the Secret Level anthology. Production participants are described as passionate and committed to capturing Lara Croft's bold, adventurous, and irreverent spirit.
It's not very often you get to make a show of this scale with a character you grew up loving," Waller-Bridge said in a statement published by Variety. "Everyone on board is wildly passionate about Lara and are all as outrageous, brave, and hilarious as she is. Get your artifacts out... Croft is coming...
The Tomb Raider series is just one of a few video game adaptations in Amazon's lineup. The second season of its successful Fallout series debuts in December, a God of War series is in development with Ronald D. Moore on board, and the Secret Level anthology series is getting a second season.
