Scoop: First Windows PCs powered by Nvidia chips to debut next week
Nvidia and Microsoft plan to unveil joint work and the first computers running Nvidia chips at Computex in Taiwan and Microsoft Build in San Francisco. Nvidia-powered PCs are expected from Microsoft’s Surface line and other makers including Dell. Microsoft is also expected to introduce software enabling AI agents to perform tasks locally on Windows. Nvidia has been moving into PC processors for years, with a recent tease pointing to Taiwan coordinates. Windows head Pavan Davuluri posted that something new is coming for developers at Build, not a new OS version. The effort aligns with Microsoft’s attempt to reposition Windows amid AI momentum after Copilot+ PC delays and Recall security concerns, and it builds on OpenClaw work led by Omar Shahine with Peter Steinberger scheduled to speak at Build.
"“A new era of PC,” Nvidia teased in a Friday post on X, pointing to coordinates that match a location in Taiwan."
"“Something new is coming for developers,” he said on X. “And no, it's not a new OS version. See you at Build next week!”"
