"The Surface Hub line, which included a modular design allowing users to replace internal components, was pitched as Microsoft's vision of the office of the future. However, its high price point and the shift to remote work diminished its appeal."
"Originally announced in 2015, the Surface Hub came in two sizes, priced at $8,000 and $20,000, but never achieved the expected market penetration, particularly after the pandemic accelerated remote work trends."
Microsoft is ceasing production of the Surface Hub 3 and has canceled plans for the Surface Hub 4. The Surface Hub, launched in 2015, was a collaborative office display available in 50-inch and 85-inch sizes. Despite some updates over its decade-long lifespan, the product did not achieve widespread adoption, especially as remote work became more prevalent. Microsoft will continue to sell existing stock and provide support for the Surface Hub 2S and Hub 3 until at least 2027.
