Starting in April 2026, Microsoft will mandatorily migrate Enterprise users from the classic Outlook client to the new Outlook for Windows, introducing new features.
The migration process will occur automatically, with notifications sent to users prior to the switch, allowing an opt-out option for those who wish to remain with the classic version.
The new Outlook includes features like Copilot integration, new themes, and tools for increased productivity such as mail snoozing and pinning for convenience.
There are exceptions to this migration: users with hidden turnover buttons, perpetual licenses, or on-premises accounts will not be subjected to the forced change.
