Majority of Americans think social media firms have too much power, finds survey

Roughly eight-in-ten Americans (78%) say these companies have too much power and influence in politics today, up from 72% in 2020.

51% of Americans believe Big Tech companies should be regulated more, with Democrats supporting increased government oversight, while Republicans suspect a pro-liberal bias in technology companies.
