Lumos will expand fiber infrastructure in Charleston County, South Carolina, building more than 500 miles of fiber and delivering high-speed internet to over 50,000 homes, small businesses, and multifamily communities in Mount Pleasant and surrounding areas. Lumos, now part of T-Mobile Fiber, will provide residential service through T-Mobile Fiber while serving large businesses and bulk MDU complexes under the Lumos brand. The network aims to strengthen South Carolina's digital infrastructure, introduce greater broadband competition, and support remote work, online learning, telehealth, and other digital tools. The expansion targets coastal Lowcountry communities to enable entrepreneurship, education access, and everyday digital connectivity.
