Lightpath is set to build a 230-mile fiber optic network in Phoenix, aimed primarily at hyperscale customers involved in AI initiatives. With $110 million in AI-related bookings for 2024 and a demand pipeline of $1 billion, the network will connect eight carrier hotels and more than 30 data centers. The infrastructure will include systems capable of holding 20,000 fibers across various Phoenix Metro areas, with the project phased for completion by 2026. Lightpath's CEO emphasizes the significance of Phoenix's large data center ecosystem.
We're thrilled to be partnering with our hyperscale customers to develop the next generation of fiber infrastructure in greater metropolitan Phoenix.
Phoenix represents the fifth largest data center ecosystem globally with 1.6 gigawatts of operational capacity.
