Last edition of Windows 7 standing reaches end of life
Briefly

Windows Embedded POSReady 7, the last supported version of Windows 7, has officially reached its end of life, nearly five years post the desktop edition.
While the mainstream desktop version of Windows 7 ended support in January 2020, specialized versions like Windows Embedded Standard 7 received updates until October 2023.
Interestingly, the Windows Embedded POSReady version got an additional year of support, extending its lifespan until October 8, 2024.
Windows 10 LTSC, aimed at corporate users paying for extended support, will continue to receive critical updates even as standard versions approach their end.
