Members confronted APNIC leadership at APRICOT and the annual general meeting with pointed questions about board diversity, strained finances, delayed correspondence, Foundation support, and accounting practices. Attendees also challenged the community on IPv6 enablement by vendors, proposals to accelerate IPv4 depletion to mobilize unused addresses, and the feasibility of securing organizations solely with open-source tools. Leadership welcomed robust debate and encouraged more frequent member participation. The organization emphasized the need for members to move beyond transactional relationships when obtaining IP addresses and to exercise influence through policy contributions, special interest groups, and election to the executive council.
