I tried Meta's Horizon Hyperscape demo: Welcome to the metaverse's first holodeck
Briefly

Hyperscape takes photogrammetry into the virtual world in a rather impressive, if somewhat limited way, allowing users to scan real spaces and explore them in VR.
Although the smartphone scanning capability was not demonstrated, the Hyperscape app currently on the Horizon store does demonstrate six environments which provide a glimpse into its potential.
Entering a space in Hyperscape showcases how users can rotate, change scenes, and teleport, creating an interactive experience reminiscent of a rudimentary holodeck.
Despite the Quest 3's lower resolution, the demo's immersive qualities still left an impressive mark, highlighting a pathway toward more realistic VR environments.
