Google and Epic Games filed a proposed settlement in the Epic v Google case that aims to expand developer choice and flexibility on Android and Google Play. Sameer Samat described changes intended to lower fees, encourage more competition, and keep users safe. Tim Sweeney called the proposal a comprehensive solution and contrasted Google’s approach with Apple’s model of blocking competing stores and limiting payment competition.
