Enterprises spent whopping $80B on cloud in Q2

The second quarter of 2024 saw enterprise cloud spending increase by $14.1 billion to $79.1 billion, marking a 22 percent growth compared to the previous year.
The big three cloud providers - AWS, Microsoft, and Google - hold about two-thirds of the global cloud market while Oracle emerges as the leader among the second-tier providers.
Amazon's AWS leads with a 32 percent market share, followed by Microsoft's Azure with 23 percent and Google with 13 percent. Microsoft and Google are slowly gaining share while AWS's share decreases.
