Elon Musk plans to have genuinely useful humanoid robots in low production for internal use in Tesla factories next year, with hopes to expand into high production for other companies by 2026.
The robot, Optimus, is designed to do boring, repetitious, and dangerous work, standing at 1.7 meters tall and weighing 56kg, named after Optimus Prime from Transformers.
