Although mobile internet penetration is high, with around 876 million mobile broadband users, many still experience issues with connectivity and speed. This emphasizes the need for satellite internet to bridge the connectivity gap.
An estimated 665 million people in India, around 45% of the population, do not access the internet, according to a joint study released by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Kantar. This showcases the existing digital divide that satellite internet aims to address.
