AMD Q1 disappoints, but new datacenter CPUs and GPUs coming
Briefly

AMD's datacenter business grew 80% to $2.4 billion, but Gaming fell 48% to $922 million and Embedded slid 46% to $846 million. Some key clients include Amazon, Microsoft, and Google using Epyc processors.
AMD hopes to reach $4 billion in GPU revenue this year, but its stock took a hit with Q1 revenue of $5.47 billion, meeting the midpoint of its own earlier estimates.
Lisa Su, AMD's chief, highlighted the company's energy-efficient Epyc processors, claiming they require 45% fewer servers, reduce capex by up to half, and lower opex by more than 40%.
