Bandai Namco announced that Blue Protocol will end service in Japan on January 18, 2025, and has canceled the international release with Amazon Games.
The decision came after Bandai Namco concluded it couldn't deliver a satisfactory experience, despite having prepared for the game's launch and a prior partnership with Amazon Games.
Although Blue Protocol was scheduled for a simultaneous worldwide release, only the Japanese version went live, with the Western version delayed to 2024 before cancellation.
Previously, Bandai Namco reported a significant loss attributed to underperforming games, which may include Blue Protocol as a contributing factor.
