75 zero-days exploited in 2024 with focus on enterprise tech
Briefly

According to Google’s Threat Intelligence Group, while the number of exploited zero-day vulnerabilities dropped from 98 in 2023 to 75 in 2024, the total confirmed attacks using these vulnerabilities reflects an overall upward trend. State-sponsored groups, particularly from China and North Korea, are leading the exploitation of these vulnerabilities, particularly for cyberespionage. The findings reveal that more than half of the confirmed exploits were attributed to state actors, underpinning the ongoing threat posed by zero days in the current cyber landscape.
"This number appears to be consistent with a consolidating upward trend that we have observed over the last four years."
"Over 50 percent of the confirmed zero-days were used for cyberespionage campaigns carried out by state-sponsored groups and customers of spyware companies."
