Three UK reported a 3% increase in its active customer base in the first half of 2024, totaling 10.9 million despite strong competition in the mobile market.
In the first half of the year, revenues increased to £1.335 billion, driven by growth in contract customers and the 5G Home Broadband business.
Although Three UK showed growth, it criticized the UK 5G mobile market, calling it 'abysmal' and citing a 'dysfunctional structure' that hinders sustainable investment.
The operator reported a significant EBITDA increase of 31% year-on-year to £213 million, while still facing negative cash flow since 2020.
