California-based Muon Space closed a $56.7 million fundraising round to scale its satellite platform and announced a new deal with Sierra Nevada Corp. Muon provides end-to-end satellite services, allowing customers to avoid the long process of developing their own satellite hardware and software.
Muon Space has secured over $100 million in contracts for its Halo satellite platform, including $60 million deals for designing 10 remote-sensing satellites and a recent deal with Sierra Nevada Corp. for three spacecraft. The first satellite from this collaboration is set to launch in 2025.
